Demand for Sony's 20th Anniversary Edition PlayStation 4 has been insane -- online orders in the US sold out in minutes, while some lucky Londoners were treated to super-cheap PS4s at the PlayStation '94 Shop. For those of you that were unable to get the day off work or simply live too far outside of the capital to get your hands on Sony's £400 piece of gaming nostalgia, the company will open online sales this week. However, don't expect ordering one to be easy.
Right now, you can head over to a dedicated page on Sony's PlayStation website that features an image with over 300 figures from PlayStation history. "Study the image well and make sure you know your PlayStation characters," Sony says. Then, you'll need to follow both @PlayStationUK or @GAMEDigital on Twitter, which will tweet clues using the #20YearsOfCharacters hashtag. If you can work them out, click on the character it relates to and you'll be rewarded with a "secret" link to the GAME website.
Unfortunately, you're not done there. Those clues won't be tweeted (from both accounts) at random, but at allotted times each day this week. So make sure you've got your Twitter app open at the following times:
- Monday 4pm
- Tuesday 5pm
- Wednesday 2pm
- Thursday 8am
- Friday 12pm
To summarize, follow these steps for a chance:
- Head over to the PlayStation website and familiarise yourself with the characters listed in the image
- Follow both the @PlayStation and @GAMEdigital Twitter accounts
- Check those accounts at the times listed above to find and solve the clue. Then click on the character it refers to
- Fill out the form and hope you were quick enough.
