Best iPhone 6 cases: Treat your Apple device

Apple's iPhone 6 features a beautiful aluminium body, super slim design and the company's latest A8 processor under the hood.
It's a good looking device and probably one that you'd rather not cover with a case, but a little bit of protection is always a good idea to make sure it stays looking good so we have rounded up some great iPhone 6 cases to consider.
Whether you are opting for Apple's own range of cases, or going for something a little more bespoke from a third party, we've detailed some of the best cases available, and certainly ones that will make you stand out from the crowd. Apple

Apple's official cases for the iPhone 6 come in a leather option and a silicone option. Both offer a colour-matched microfibre interior, slim build and cut out sections to give you easy access to all the necessary controls.

The leather case comes in five colours comprising black, light pink, brown, blue and red, while the silicone alternative is offered in black, bright blue, bright pink, bright green, white and red.

Bandai

Japanese toy company Bandai has expanded it Crazy Case range with a Back to the Future: Part II-inspired iPhone 6 case. The case is a DeLorean with glowing blue lights that flash when you receive a call and you talk to the undercarriage for the caller to hear you.

It's certainly not the slimmest iPhone 6 case out there, but it's one of the most exciting. Moving the driver's-side front fender and wheel reveal the camera, while the other fender provides access to the iPhone's side controls.

Casetify

Casetify offers custom templates for the iPhone 6, designed to allow the handsets themselves to "shine through".

After choosing which device you are designing the 2.5mm slim case for, you then choose the case colour, followed by the layout or template you want to use. You can upload pictures from Facebook, Instagram or your computer and there are loads of fun designs to pick from to make your iPhone 6 different from the other 10 million out there.

Crafic

For something a little different, Californian company Crafic offers a range of iPhone 6 cases through Etsy.com including an vintage cassette case.

The snap-on case offers easy access to all ports and features and it claims to protect the front, back and all four corners but if you aren't a fan of the cassette, there are a range of other options available.

Cygnett

Cygnett has four ranges available for the iPhone 6 comprising AeroGrip, UrbanShield, Workmate Evolution and OpticClear Optic Shield.

The AeroGrip (pictured) is a slim fitting, snap-on case that offers high-grip sides and the company claims it will provide excellent corner and edge protection. It comes with a free screen protector and it is available in black, white or clear.

Element Case 

For a slightly sportier look, Element Case offers the ION 6 case with a carbon fibre backplate and lanyard slot, as well as the Soft-Tec sporty wallet case with the company's Tech Grip non-slip coating.

The ION 6 case comes in three colours and the Soft-Tec wallet features a soft lining, credit card slots, a lanyard slot like the ION 6 case, and it also offers a folding design.

Encase

Encase offers a number of cases for the iPhone 6 which include snap-on cases, wallet cases and flip cases.

The Wallet Case comes in a range of colours including black, white, hot pink and brown, all of which come with credit card slots on the inside. The case will also transform to be a stand so you can watch videos or other media easily and the camera and ports are all accessible.

EXOvault

For something a little different, and a little pricier, the EXOvault cases have been designed by a group of Brooklyn-based artists and aim to fuse sculpture, tech and design.

There are three styles available including a case that uses both metals and wood, as well as one that offers a light, minimal metallic look available in both aluminium or brass finishes.

FlexiShield

For those that want to add a bit of colour to their iPhone 6 but still want to be able to see the design in all its glory, then the FlexiShield cases might be the ones for you.

Griffin Technology

Griffin Technology has announced a full range of cases for the iPhone 6 hat include the Identity, Survivor and Reveal cases, as well as the Wallet.

The Reveal cases (pictured) is an ultra-thin case that adds just over a millimtere in thickness and features a one-piece design. The polycarbonate shell has rubber edges to cushion and grip the device and it will come in a range of colours.

Kate Spade

Kate Spade designs a number of cases for both Apple and Samsung, and while there are lots of options for those with an iPhone 5 or 5S, the iPhone 6 designs have also started appearing, with three currently available.

There is a Lenticular Eyes model and a rose gold option that reads "Kiss and Tell", both of which are made from resin, plus there is also a black leather folio case. You can expect more weird and wonderful designs to appear in the next couple of months though so keep your eyes peeled on the website if you like her ideas and you're prepared to wait.

Knomo

Knomo has a range of cases for the iPhone 6 including sleeves, folio cases and snap on cases in a range of colours.

The iPhone 6 Leather Folio case comes in five colours including navy, black, pink, brown and orange and you'll find a leather slip pocket on the inside to hold a couple of cards.

Michael Kors

Michael Kors may be better known for his handbags, but what do you know, he also does iPhone 6 cases, and several of them at that. There are wallets, as well as snap on cases and you'll even find ones that hold cards on the outside, such as the one pictured.

The Card Holder iPhone 6 Case has two slots for your cards on the rear of its hard-shell and there is also a raised polished logo plate that fits in with the design of other Michael Kors products. This particular case comes in five colours.

Moshi

Moshi redesigned its flagship cases for the iPhone 6, with a number of options available including the SenseCover that allows you to answer calls, check the time and turn off alarms without opening the cover.

The company's "6 Series" of cases also include the iGlaze, which is a slim-fit hardshell case, iGlaze Armour that comes in the same colours are the iPhone 6 itself and the Kameleon that has a aluminium kickstand with a hardshell case.

Moschino

Fashion brand Moschino is well known for it's loud and eccentric designs and it holds nothing back when it comes to its iPhone 6 cases. There is a giant bear that has a T-Shirt on saying "this is not a Moschino toy", or a big pink Barbie mirror to choose from.

These cases are for those who want to be noticed and for those that aren't too fussed about seeing much of the iPhone's design itself, because both cover the majority and both make it significantly bigger. Neither is likely to fit in your jean pockets but they are oh so cute.

Native Union

Native Union offer a wide range of accessories, including a number of different cases for the iPhone. The Clic gives your iPhone a wooden finish, so if you want to take thing back to mother nature, this could be the case for you.

The Native Union Clic Wooden features walnut or cherry wood and is polished by hand. It comes in a range of colours, so if you want to go lighter, or pair it with pink, there's likely to be a case for you.

NewerTech

NewerTech's NuGuard KX iPhone 6 case features X-Orbing Gel to absorb and evenly distribute kinetic energy across its slim design and the company claims the case means you "won't have to worry about bending your iPhone 6.

The NuGuard KX case has a one-piece design, cross hatch texture for secure grip and it comes in black, blue, red and midnight colour options. NewerTech has also drop tested it from 20 foot onto concrete, as well as 131-foot from Other World Computing's onsite wind turbine.

Nodus

Nodus offers its Access Case for the iPhone 6, in a portfolio option and flip down version, both of which come with Micro-Suction technology to make sure your device doesn't slip out.

The cases are available in black and brown colours and they feature a leather exterior with a microfibre lining to protect your new handset.

NotAScratch

For those that want their iPhone 6 to get as close to Moto Maker treatment as possible without getting a Moto X, then the NotAScratch customisable wooden cases are a good start.

OtterBox

OtterBox started designing cases for Apple products back in 2004 with the iPod so it's no surprise the company offers protection for the iPhone 6 through its various ranges including the Defender Series, Commuter Series and Symmetry Series.

The Defender Series (pictured) features a built-in screen protector, two-piece polycarbonate shell and synthetic rubber slipcover to offer rugged protection, while the Symmetry Series offers a slimmer protection layer and the Commuter Series pairs a synthetic rubber skin under a polycarbonate outer layer.

PopSLATE

Popslate is a Silicon Valley startup and it has developed a smartphone case that essentially slaps an E Ink plastic display on the back of your iPhone. This display will show you everything from images to apps on the back of your phone and it communicates via Bluetooth.

The company describes the case as shatter, crack proof and always on, allowing you to glance at your phone at any time of the day to access information without draining battery life. It is available in black or white colour options.

Proporta

Alongside the Ted Baker cases, Proporta also offers its own branded iPhone 6 cases including a leather sleeve that provides a slim pouch without adding too much weight or bulk.

The pouch is made from real leather with a soft micro fibre lining and there is a magnetic pull tag for easy access, plus it comes with a lifetime exchange warranty. There are also hard shell cases gloss shells available.

Skinny Dip

For those after something a little more fun, Skinny Dip do a range of different designs for the iPhone 6, from french fries with googly eyes, to donuts with googly eyes.

You'll also find slightly prettier cases that play with liquid and glitter within a transparent shell.

Society6

Society6 has some fabulous cases for the iPhone 6, all of which are designed by various artists from around the world. There is everything from funky patterns to retro cameras and you can choose from a slim case or a tough case. See lead image for more examples.

The slim cases are one-piece, impact resistant and flexible plastic hard case with a slim profile, while the tough cases are two-piece snap on cases with extra shock dispersion.

Spigen

Spigen has a huge range of iPhone 6 cases with snap-on options, as well as folio cases, in a selection of colours.

One of our favourites is the Aluminium Fit case that features a blend of polycarbonate and aluminium parts to make for a light and slim fitting case. There are four colours available for the Aluminium Fit case, but if it isn't quite for you, there are plenty of other options.

Tech21

Tech21 has a number of cases available for the iPhone 6 including its Classic Tactical, Classic Frame, Classic Check, Classic Shell and Classic Shell with Cover ranges.

The company claims all its cases offer four features comprising scientifically proven materials, advanced protection, slim fitting design and access to all ports and features.

Ted Baker

Ted Baker offers a number of cases for the iPhone 6, all of which feature direct access to all the necessary ports as well as the camera so you won't need to take it off once it is on.

There are a range of designs from both the SS14 and AW14 men and women's collections, as well as other options so you should find at least one that tickles your fancy. The Women's AW14 cases (pictured) feature direct access to all buttons, features and camera lens and they are made from polycarbonate.

Tucano

Like Cygnett, Tucano is also offering four case ranges for the iPhone 6, including Filo, Tela, Libro and Elektro. Filo (pictured left) comes in six colours, features a protective back shell and has various positions, while Tela is a snap-on case that comes in four colour and has a drilled design to allow you to see the Apple logo.Â

Libra (pictured right) is a folio case that comes in three colours, features two credit card slots and multiple viewing positions and Elektro is another snap-on case, this time with a metal design on the edge and a transparent polycarbonate back.

Typo Innovations

Typo Innovations has introduced the Typo2 case for the iPhone 6 that introduces a tactile Qwerty keyboard to the bottom of the touchscreen, and connects via Bluetooth.

It is said to provide up to 30 days use on a single three-hour charge and it features a battery indicator, quick currency access key, full backlit keyboard, smart typing and a lock key.

Twelve South

Twelve South's BookBook case is a wallet case that resembles a vintage book design, unsurprisingly given its name. The case is handmade with genuine leather and it is available in black or brown colour options.

There are slots for four cards inside and the BookBook cover can also be used as a hand-free stand, plus there is a removable shell if you need a case that is a little slimmer every now and then.

Urban Armour Gear

Urban Armour Gear offers a composite case in rust and black for the iPhone 6 that features a HD screen protector and an impact resistant soft core.

The iPhone 6 composite case meets military drop test standards and offers easy access to the touchscreen and ports so you'll be able to to get to all the necessary controls.

X-Doria

X-Doria offers a number of iPhone 6 cases and although it offers free shipping to US orders, if you are buying one of the designs from the UK, you'll need to factor in delivery and import.

The Scene Plus case is lovely though, featuring 3D patterns created by a multi-layer printing process. There are three designs available and the Scene Plus case also offers a rubber bumper with a front, raised bezel to protect your device when you out it down.

XQISIT

XQISIT offers protection for the iPhone 6 with three options in a bid to "suit all tastes", with the models including the Slim Wallet Case, Tijuana Folio Case and Eman Wallet Case.

The Slim Wallet Case comes in three colours comprising bright pink, white and black, and it offers protection for both the front and rear of the handset. It is made from synthetic leather, has two card slots and it allows for easy access to controls and ports.
